# Video Producer — Prompt Rules

Apply these rules after selecting the active project profile.

## 1) Still generation

### Model choice
- **Nano Banana 2** -> default for complex staging, multi-character scenes, tricky geometry, reflections, and shots where style consistency matters most
- **Wan 2.7** -> cheaper/faster fallback for simpler stills or when Dmitri explicitly asks for Wan

### Ref strategy
- Prefer the minimum useful set of refs
- For complex shots, face + halfbody for main character is usually stronger than many redundant angles
- Add a location/context ref only when it materially improves geometry
- For Wan, never exceed the hard limit of 4 refs

### Still prompt structure
Describe in this order:
1. shot type / framing
2. who is in frame
3. location anchor
4. blocking
5. emotional tone
6. light / lens feel
7. continuity constraints

### Hands
Hands are still the most fragile region.
- Split detail hand shots from face shots when possible
- Prefer simple actions: one button, one sponge stroke, one hand on table, one hand at side
- Avoid clasped / interlocked / folded fingers unless absolutely necessary

## 2) Video generation

### General motion rule
One generation should usually express **one beat**.
If the script says:
- walk to chair
- turn away
- splash happens
- react in mirror

that is probably 4 shots, not 1.

### Tempo
Always specify movement speed.
Useful phrases:
- `single slow deliberate movement`
- `normal pace`
- `purposeful stride`
- `careful restrained motion`
- `holds position`

Default negatives often include:
`slow motion, slow-mo, sluggish movement`

### Camera language
Keep the first pass simple.
- Static coverage is safer than ambitious camera choreography
- Add drift / rack focus only when the base composition already works
- If the ending focus matters, state it explicitly

### Background continuity
For close-up and reaction shots, control the background explicitly.
Describe:
- `background class` -> wall / mirror haze / tub edge / soft bathroom bokeh / window glow
- `background dominance` -> no dominant fixture, no new object taking over frame
- `relation to previous shot` -> same wall-side zone / same room side / same background logic as prior master
- `composition center` -> keep the viewer's attention in a comparable screen area when cutting into coverage

Do not let the model invent a new dominant sink, fixture, or room corner if the previous shot established a different background zone.

### Sound / spoken line
- Kling can use `sound: true`
- Put the exact spoken line directly in the prompt
- For this workflow, sound should contain only spoken dialogue and diegetic/interior sounds
- Explicitly ban background music: `no background music, no cinematic score, no soundtrack`
- Treat voice, lip sync, and acting delivery as unstable until reviewed

### Optional music-bed planning
When Dmitri asks for Suno prompts or scene-level background music, do not default to "theme", "OST", or song logic.

Prefer:
- background-only
- dialogue-safe
- non-melodic or minimally melodic
- one shared tonal world across related cues
- acoustic tension textures when serialized-drama intimacy or shame/pressure is the goal

Read `references/music-beds.md` when the request involves:
- ambient beds
- tension beds
- underscore fragments
- rhythmic pressure builds
- scene-block cue families

## 3) Profile-specific guidance

### Blended Leading
- Preserve business realism and office geography
- Glass partition logic must stay correct
- Multi-character shots need clearly differentiated faces
- Approved still is usually mandatory as Kling ref
- Negative prompt should ban: clones, same person twice, stock-photo smiles, sci-fi office, neon

### Romantic Dorama
- Preserve old-money luxury, soft daylight, restrained tension
- Prefer vertical-drama readability over overcomplicated cinematic tricks
- Split sensual material into elegant fragments: eyes, buttons, mirror wipe, sponge, water, reaction
- Keep Kate natural and modest; do not glamorize her into editorial fashion imagery
- Keep Roman emotionally controlled; dominance should come from gaze, posture, stillness
- For bathroom shots, keep the room readable as the same bathroom every time

---

## 4) Review logic

### If faces drift
- reduce ref count
- strengthen main-character description
- simplify action
- use a cleaner approved still

### If staging breaks
- add a stronger location/context ref
- simplify blocking to a single action
- restate left/right geography clearly

### If emotion becomes theatrical
- reduce adjectives
- use restrained verbs: `holds`, `glances`, `hesitates`, `turns away`, `keeps still`

### If hands fail
- cut to insert shot
- remove faces from the shot
- reduce finger complexity

---

## 5) Standard negative base

```text
slow motion, slow-mo, sluggish movement, face drift, changing face,
inconsistent identity, extra fingers, deformed hands, duplicate faces,
clones, same person twice, subtitles, on-screen text, captions
```
