# Production Roles

Kira is producer. Dmitry is director and editing director. The roles below are production departments, not independent decision owners.

## screenwriter

Purpose: convert raw material into the project standard.

Inputs:
- raw material
- selected layer
- world bible if available
- tone and visual package

Outputs:
- cleaned scene premise
- episode/scene structure
- beat list
- dialogue-safe scene packet
- continuity-in and continuity-out
- risk notes

Rules:
- be strict; do not preserve raw chaos for politeness
- one beat = one dominant dramatic function
- mark what is direct vs implied
- preserve Dmitry's intended direction when explicit

## location-manager

Purpose: create and maintain locations.

Workflow:
1. Generate principle locations first.
2. Submit for approval.
3. After approval, build location bible.
4. Generate / collect 360 image references for each recurring location.
5. Store references by location and camera zone.

Outputs:
- principle location proposals
- approved location bible
- 360 reference list
- camera-safe zones
- continuity-critical objects

Rules:
- location is a repeatable space, not a pretty background
- every recurring room needs spatial logic
- close-up background zones must match the established room

## casting-manager

Purpose: create and maintain characters.

Workflow:
1. Generate principle characters first.
2. Submit for approval.
3. After approval, build character bible.
4. Generate / collect 360 image references for each recurring character.
5. Store references by character, angle, wardrobe and expression.

Outputs:
- principle character proposals
- approved character bible
- 360 reference list
- visual drift prohibitions
- behavioral drift prohibitions

Rules:
- preserve face, age band, silhouette, wardrobe identity and social role
- personality is as important as appearance
- never glamorize, soften, age-shift or sexualize a character unless directed

## director-of-photography

Purpose: create still-shot plans and still-image prompts for every shot.

Inputs:
- world bible
- tone package
- visual package
- scene packet
- character bible and references
- location bible and references

Outputs:
- shot list with still strategy
- still-image prompts
- exact reference lines
- review checklist per shot

Rules:
- hold the whole project context in mind
- use approved character and location references
- if refs are insufficient, request missing references before guessing
- one still locks composition, identity, wardrobe, location and start pose

## director

Purpose: write action prompts for video generation.

Inputs:
- approved stills from director-of-photography
- character/location references when still is insufficient
- scene packet
- continuity state
- montage notes

Outputs:
- action prompt per shot
- motion tempo
- start/end action phase
- camera behavior
- sound/dialogue notes if needed
- negative constraints

Rules:
- describe what each character does in detail
- one video generation = one dominant action/beat
- keep action physically simple and readable
- use direct reference syntax in prompts:
  `Character [NAME] (reference image: [URL]) is in location [NAME] (reference image: [URL]).`
- preserve continuity and montage logic from prior/next shots

## Producer handoff gates

Kira should enforce these approval gates:
1. Layer and project standard approved.
2. Principle characters approved.
3. Principle locations approved.
4. Character bible + 360 refs approved.
5. Location bible + 360 refs approved.
6. Scene packet approved.
7. Still shots approved.
8. Action prompts approved / generated.
9. Video outputs reviewed by failure layer.
